Raw Pu-erh (sheng pu-erh, 生普洱茶) is the traditional form of Pu-erh tea, made from sun-dried Yunnan tea leaves that are pressed into cakes or other forms and allowed to develop naturally over time. Young raw Pu-erh can be fresh, aromatic, lively, and powerful, while aging can gradually transform its flavor, aroma, mouthfeel, and character.

Bana's raw Pu-erh collection ranges from distinctive young teas sourced from the tea mountains of Yunnan to carefully selected teas with years or decades of age. We look for teas that offer complexity, balance, satisfying mouthfeel and finish, and the potential to develop beautifully through successive infusions and, where appropriate, with time.
