Evaluating the quality of a traditional-style aged pu-erh involves several factors. Firstly, the tea broth should be clean, indicating proper storage. Secondly, the tea should possess a smooth texture, indicating a well-aged product. Lastly, it should have developed unique "aged flavors" that only time can impart.

I totally agree with your description of brick. I would add a musky earthiness to it that I enjoy very much. Growing funder and funder of this style puer hope to get more maybe a whole brick.
