This aged raw Pu-erh brick, produced by the renowned Menghai Tea Factory in Yunnan in the 1990s, is a rare find in today's market, as noted by Master Vesper Chan. Evaluating the quality of a traditional-style aged Pu-erh involves several factors. Firstly, the tea broth should be clean, indicating proper storage. Secondly, the tea should possess a smooth texture, indicating a well-aged product. Lastly, it should have developed unique "aged flavors" that only time can impart.
This tea meets all the above-described criteria. The tea broth is clean, a testament to its proper aging process. Additionally, it offers a sweetness with subtle hints of ginseng, jujube, and Chinese herbs.
