This private label tea was produced to mark the founding of Bana Tea Company. The tea's leaves were selected from tea trees that are between 100 to 400 years old. The production of the tea cakes were personally supervised by Linda Louie and Tea Master Vesper Chan. The dried leaves emit a nice aroma and the yellow-orange tea liquor presents a dried apricot flavor unique to teas from Jinggu Mountain. Followers of this tea enjoy the hui gan (returning sweetness) that coats the mouth and throat and its balanced and comfortable cha qi. Teas of this high quality are becoming rare finds.
Buy it to drink and enjoy now, or buy a 5-cake tong to continue aging it.

Love this tea.. I’ve bought this tea before and I recently found out that a friend was delving into tea world, and I gifted it to them. They loved it as well.
Bana Limited is Bana's very first branded tea and we are so fortunate to have Master Chan's supervision throughout the whole production. This tea has aged real well, sweet, clean, smooth, and great body feel. In fact, we are having some as we respond to your review right now :)
I have purchased two Tungs over several years. The tasting notes are on point for this tea so I don’t need to repeat. I have tried about 25 raw pu-erh samples from various sources this year alone (some of which were much more expensive) and I consider this raw Bana Limited Edition pu-erh to continue to be one of my favorites. I think it is the strength of the hui gan that makes it special. A very good value!
Bana teas are the best tasting ever. I wish they weren't so costly, but I understand how expensive it is to grow and pay the growers fairly, and then package and ship such carefully tended leaves.
Thank you for your kind words and being understanding of the costs involved in creating high-quality teas. With Pu-erh tea, there is an additional cost of properly storing the teas for years. That's why older teas are usually more expensive than younger teas.
FYI -It would be beneficial for reviewers to know in advance how many letter space they have to review a tea. I was in the middle of a sentence when it wouldn't go in any further. This tea doesn't live up to the description advertised. Of course my novice palate isn't a good judge but at 73 yrs young I know what I like! I like ripe Pu'erh... There's minimal discerning, less pomp and circumstance (and pretense) less "wasted" tea and time. Your 7 samples and 2 others of RAW, wasted my time. Of course their vegetal... their leaves! A feint, feint scent or taste of this or that fruit within the vegetal arena is hardly waste the effort. I have enough other aspects of my life to be obsessive/compulsive about Aloha
I will let my hosting company know to see if they can add the number of characters one can enter in the review space.
Fast, efficient service, delicious tea, beautiful Taiwan. Bonus was the invitation to the Chinese American Museum talk with Linda Louie and Lisa See, to learn more about puerh tea :)
Thank you for the review. Hope you enjoyed our virtual Tea Talk.

Wonderful tea! This is the second time I’ve ordered the 5 pack. Highly recommend this tea and seller.
Thank you for your review. This tea has become a very smooth and comfortable tea over time.
This tea was great. After rinsing the leaves, I prepared them in a small clay teapot (150ml), following the recommended brewing instructions…the first few steeps at 10,10,20 seconds were light, but definitely could taste the apricot notes and it had a slightly dry finish, but the apricot lingered… the middle of the session was my favorite as it had the deepest color and the boldest flavor… still pulling a smooth apricot, with an additional nutty note, and the slightly dry finish. The last three steeps of the session began to lighten again, but didn’t disappoint in flavor.Very impressed with my first purchase, and will definitely be back to purchase again… and try another.
Thank you for the detailed report of the Bana Limited Edition Raw Pu-erh. We are so glad that our tea met your high expectations. We are pleased to have earned your trust and confidence.
I've had Pu-erh from other tea companies, but Bana simply has the best Pu-erhs. I love this one in particular. It's the kind of tea that you HAVE to stop and savor, which is something I need in my hectic life. I'll try to read or answer emails while drinking this tea, only to be stopped by an amazing sip that makes me close my eyes and just enjoy. This tea taught me the meaning of Hui Gan; it's a flavor that doesn't just hit your tongue once, but does truly return sweetness.
We are so humbled to earned your kind words and endorsement. The rich mouthfeel and long hui gan are what pu-erh drinkers search for. We are so glad you found it.
My husband and I tried a sample of this tea, the BTC Limited Raw Puerh. We did not enjoy the first two infusions — the tea was almost tasteless. We have been enjoying the thirst and later infusions!! The tea is very smooth, no rawness, its is full-bodied and we both detected a hint of smokiness, which we enjoyed tremendously. I’m thinking of buying a tung, but would like to sample the other teas we received in our sampler set.
Sometimes the leaves are a bit too tight and take a couple of infusions to open up. Usually the third and fourth infusions are the best. Glad you and your husband enjoyed this 'middle-age' pu-erh tea.
A good pur-erh with just the right amount of astringincy.
This tea is at its 'middle-age.' It will get even better as time passes.
Well I'm new to the pu-erh world , I am really enjoying this tea and it's health benefits , the people at bana tea company were easy and polite to deal with I will return guaranteed , this tea seems expensive but goes a long way , you can steep these leaves 8 times , so facor that in !! Thx baba I will be back for more !!
Thank you so much for the kind words - we appreciate it very much!
This tea absolutely tastes of apricot, very delicious any time of day. I think Bana Tea is a great company that offers a premium quality choice of teas. I love the ripe tea and now have tried the raw and love both.
Thank you so much for the high praise and the continuing support.
Received products ordered on time and of excellent quality. I will use Bana Tea Company again in the future.
Thank you for your good review. It means a lot to us.

I tried the Silver Tip and the Limited Edition Spring harvest - both were terrific.
