Shoumei is a type of white tea that is made with more mature leaves. Aged Shoumei is the most popular aged white tea.

This aged Shoumei is made from tea bushes that are left to grow naturally in high elevation mountains. The bushes are not pruned and no chemicals are used. This tea is USDA organic certified.

Bana sourced this tea in 2017. The tea was aged in the same area where it is grown until it was pressed into these mini 50g round cakes. The size of a chocolate chip cookie, this tea is mellow with a sweet finish. Brew it any way you want, this tea is still delicious.

Brewing guide

Use 5 grams of leaves in 6 oz pot or cup. Brew with 212 F degree water (100 C).

I let this steep longer than normal and was surprised with very good warm flavor of sweet nectar flavor

It is not overwhelming at all and very delicious, I drank too quickly

Sweet White tea

Very good white tea, not too aged but not too fresh either, good in the middle, hasn’t yet reached the aged and medicinal quality but still very good tea for its age. Very sweet, medium thickness, smooth, and relaxing tea.
