Moonlight White tea was invented by Yi Luo of the Bulang tribe. She famously harvests leaves on specific phases of the moon to create her tea. Our version comes from Master Chan, who presses his leaves into 200 gram cakes, scored to easily break a "square" of tea for brewing. Because the cake is tightly pressed, we recommend a longer rinse than usual on this tea.
Moonlight White is famous for having leaves that are black on one side and white on the other. The flavor has the mildness of a Fuding white tea, but the long lasting sweetness of a Yunnan Pu-erh.
