Yiwu Mountain is famous for its "plum flavor" note. Specifically preserved plum, which Americans may taste as closer to strawberry. Within the Yiwu mountain is one peak known as Tian Men Shan - the gateway to heaven. The ancient tea trees (gushu) here produce widely sought after tea, like this cake.
This tea is smooth and delicate with gentle brewing (195-205 degree water, shorter steeps), or bold and exciting with harder brews (boiling water, up to 30 second steeps). In either case, this tea offers a floral fragrance, honey sweetness, the characteristic plum or strawberry notes, and a long lingering finish.
