Red mandarins and the small green mandarins are the same fruit harvested from the same trees except they are picked at different times of the year. The small green mandarins are picked beginning around July 15, before they are fully ripened, while the red mandarins are picked in September when the fruit begins to ripen, the size has grown larger and the skin has turned a pretty shade of red. Compared with the green mandarin pu-erh, this tea is less tangy and more sweet, blending into a perfect combination with ripe Pu-erh.

The mandarins used for this tea are from Xinhui, Guangdong, a region renowned for the mandarin fruit. Entirely hand-crafted, premium ripe pu-erh was selected to combine with the red mandarin to enhance the overall quality of the resulting tea.

To brew the red mandarin, we recommend breaking it into quarters or thirds.  Include both leaves and peel in your pot or cup and brew as directed or according to your preference.  Keep the remaining pieces in an airtight container.

Brewing guide

Use one quarter or one third of the mandarin in 6 oz pot or cup. Brew with 212 F degree water (100 C).

Delicious

This tea is incredibly delicious. I drink Puerh tea every day and this is my new favorite. It doesn't taste like Tangerine, but it has a distinct flavor all it's own. I don't have the adjectives to describe it. All I can say is try it.
