Lady Tan's Circle of Women Tea Tasting Kit

The Jasmine tea is so yummy and smells AMAZING! Such a fun thing to add to a book club get together! Highly recommend with clear glass teapots!

I bought all three kits that were made to go with Lisa See's books. They were amazing! I'm an avid loose tea drinker, but experienced tea like I've never seen it. Can't wait to buy more!

The teas were absolutely lovely. We really enjoyed the fragrant Jasmine tea. The tea in the dried mandarin was very unique and had a more robust flavor. Both were 5 stars and I’m glad I ordered an additional kit to enjoy later!

Our book club loved this idea! Our host served the tea in china tea pots and china tea cups and even wore a kimono for the event. The tea was wonderful and I enjoyed seeing how the tea described in the book looked in person.

This was the perfect hostess gift for a friend who is a Lisa See Fan. She loves the teas and the pretty brocade pouch. And it was lightweight and easy to take on my carry on bag on the plane. Purchase and delivery were efficient. I emailed a question and received a quick response. I'll be buying more for gifts and myself!

I shared the tea during our book review of Lady Tan’s Circle of Women. It was a delightful time. Everyone enjoyed the tea, the history and especially the friendships.

I love that Lisa See partners with Bana Tea Company to come up with these beautiful tea pairings. My book club read Lady Tan's Circle of Women this month, and we were so luck to experience two of the teas from the book. The tea is clearly high quality and really added to the experience of the book. The beautiful pouch that the tea comes in is an extra benefit, and the tasting booklet had everything we needed to know to make the most of the experience.

This tea kit was so much fun to get and such great quality. The tea is delicious! I also really appreciated the pamphlet that comes with it that gives more details on the teas and how to brew them. I am not a tea drinker but after tasting these, I will definitely start. The tea kit I ended up getting was the one for the Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane and so far tasted two: 1. Bana Mini Tuo Cha Ripe Pu’er (2 little tea cakes)2. Little BingDao Raw Pu’er. They were wonderful! Our group was fortunate to have Lisa See participate in our book club discussion of her book. The tea kit definitely contributed to the ambiance! Several of the group have already ordered tea from Bana! Thank You!

I ordered this amazing tea for "The Best Book Club of Santa Barbara"-- yes, we are quite proud of ourselves and also laugh a lot. The tea was delicious and our hostess set a beautiful table. BEST: She invited Lisa See to join us by Zoom. We loved meeting Lisa, hearing about her writing process and congratulating her for such a wonderful book while sipping your delicious teas. It was an amazing afternoon. The Best!

Both the pu-erh tea and the jasmine tea in the lovely little Chinese brocade bag were excellent. My book group was thrilled to taste the teas and relate them to Lady Tan's Circle of Women. Most preferred the pu-erh brew but I thought the genuine jasmine tea was also extraordinary. Both were fragrant and delicious and highlighted the exquisite care given to tea in the period described in the book. Now, if only we could tour the wedding bed!

Amazing flavor! Authentic!

I ordered the tea for our book club which was discussing Lady Tan’s Circle of Women. I brewed the jasmine which was such a big hit that I couldn’t brew another pot fast enough. Absolutely delicious!

We sampled these teas with my book club after we discussed the book Lady Tan's Circle of Women with author Lisa See. The jasmine tea was the favorite and much better than other jasmine teas we've had. The other tea was more earthy and still good, but just not amazing like the jasmine tea. It smelled like jasmine blossoms. I don't usually drink loose tea, but this was worth it. One thing I would like to note, I determined the tea was ready when I smelled the jasmine fragrance and it was delicious. But other ladies thought it looked weak (light) and needed to steep longer, so I recommend using smell not color to determine when the jasmine tea is ready.

Our book club tasted this tea together and it made our evening such a rich experience! The jasmine tea was incredibly fragrant and soothing, and the mandarin pureh was a delight (my favorite!). We paired the tea with what we dubbed a "concubine" dried fruit and nuts tray and a sampling of dumplings from a local dim sum restaurant. Highly recommend!

The teas came quickly in beautiful wrapping. I have not used them yet but we are having a bookclub meeting in the beginning of April for Lisa See's book "Lady Tan's Circle of Friends". These should be perfect to serve at the luncheon.

The tasting kit was wonderful beyond my wildest dreams! The bag it came in is gorgeous and the brewing instructions really fun. The two teas were very different in taste and appearance and provided a good opportunity for further discussion on both the tea and the book. Our ‘tea ceremony’ was basic at best but we had a wonderful time….wonderful all around! Thank you so much!

Our book club had so much fun with this kit. We loved all the included information on the making of each tea. The only issue I had was that I paid an extra $10 for priority shipping to ensure that it arrived on time and it did not arrive until days after it was supposed to which was really frustrating. We had to reschedule our meeting because of it.

I requested this package for Christmas after reading “Lady Tans Circle of Women.” The tea described in the book sounded so exquisite! It’s not Christmas yet so I haven’t tried it but I’m looking forward to it!

I heard about the BTC from no less than Lisa See. She came to my town to do an author talk about Lady Tan and she talked about your tea collection. I bought the first one for my book club and we all loved it. Then I gave Lady Tan to two friends and gave them the tea for Christmas. Fabulous stuff
