Taste characteristics:
This 20th century ripe Pu-erh tea is harvested from ancient trees. The infusion is dark orange and is the perfect drink for a lazy afternoon or after a long day of work. The tea is not only very aromatic, it is possessed of a bouquet of complex flavors that is relaxing and satisfying and provides a long-lasting lychee aftertaste. This tea retains its flavors after multiple infusions better than most ripe Pu-erh teas.

Brewing guide

Use 5 grams in 6 oz pot or cup. Brew with 212 F degree water (100 C).
RINSE: 1 second
1st BREW: 20 seconds
2nd BREW: 25 seconds
3rd BREW: 30 seconds
4th BREW: 40 seconds
5th BREW: 1 minute
6th BREW: 2 minutes
7th BREW: 4 minutes
8th BREW: 6 minutes

Good, but not quite as good as I expected. Also, I thought it would come shaped as a cake and wrapped in pretty paper, but it's just loose leaf in a plastic pouch.

Remarkable Tea

This has to be in the top 3 best ripe pu erh teas I’ve tried. I’ve tried a few hundred ripe pu erh teas over the last 10 years and the flavor, aroma, and quality of this tea is unmatched. Without getting into taste and smell descriptions, this tea has a lovely aroma and excellent taste. This is what I’d call a holy grail pu erh that once you experience it, you’ll understand why people love and appreciate ripe pu erh. Definitely one of the best smelling teas I’ve had. I prefer longer steeps on ripe pu erh and this one does very well with long steeps or short steeps. Yes it’s expensive, but one of the few high end ripe pu erh teas that stands out and is worth the price.

Ordered Pu-erh tea 5g sample,after reading Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane. I found the quality of the tea sublime, it has an earthy taste and smell. I have auto-immune disease with fatigue and brain fog. I found the tea helped with my symptoms. It made me want to visit the tea's place of origin as I felt connected to the mountains as I drank it. Thanks so much for this fine product.

This is just a wonderful, smooth tea. I now understand about each cup getting better and better and better. I have had 6 cups today and can't resist having one more. The aroma is beautiful, the color is gorgeous and the taste sublime.
