Vintage: 2014 Spring Harvest

Grade: 1-3
Production area: Lincang County, Yunnan Province

Taste characteristics:
The name of this tea derives from an event in ancient history during the war between Chu and Han Kingdoms when tens of thousands of horses galloped on warring grounds. Armies from both sides each staked out their ground and attacked with different strategic tactics deemed to surprise the other side. This tea is reminiscent of these strategies. The first sip of the tea may seem plain but the next sip will arouse a feeling of surprise. Subsequent tasting will confirm the penetrating and layering of the tea. Master Vesper Chan created this blend by choosing leaves from various mountains in the Lincang tea producing area.

Outstanding

By Catherine Shearin
This is the most interesting and complex tea I've had the pleasure of trying yet. It definitely lives up to the intriguing description. It makes me want to pause and think so I'm going to save it for those days when difficult decisions have to be made. And it has a cool name too!
Our Response:

That's a good idea - save a complex tea for days when important decisions need to be made.

Mind blowing

Every tea I’ve had from vespar has changed how I look at teas in general. And this one is no exception to that rule. Smooth and incredibly fragrant with honeyed notes of flower petals. Aged 11 years has left this tea to be appreciated by anyone who truly loves puerh. We are lucky to have access to such fine cha as this outside the shores of China. Very thankful and as always will be coming back for more indefinitely!!
Our Response:

Thank you for your kind words. I will share with Master Chan how much his teas are being appreciated by pu-erh enthusiasts in the US.
