Production area: Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province

Taste characteristics: What sets this ripe Pu-erh apart from other ripe Pu-erh is that this tea uses leaves from the arbor trees grown in high mountains, requiring no spraying of harmful chemicals. In addition, this tea is fermented using the traditional method, which will enhance the future aging of the tea. The result of the above factors is a tea that is bold, full-bodied, and rich. Enjoy the aftertaste that lingers in your mouth for an extended period of time after each sip.

Brewing guide

Use 5 grams of leaves in 6 oz pot or cup. Brew with 212 F degree water (100 C).

5th BREW: 30 seconds

Mellow and easy tasting

High Quality Ripe

This ripe puerh cake from 2016 is the second of the two cakes rolled out by Denong an an introduction to the US market. This ripe puerh is from high quality material and processed expertly creating a wonderful tea. This puerh has been aging for several years and it has developed into a rich, smooth and medicinal ripe. Brews up dark and very aromatic. A very clean and calming tea in the body. Highly recommend this tea.

High Quality Ripe

This ripe puerh from 2016 is a very smooth, rich and aromatic puerh. In just a short amount of time, the tea has become a favorite for it's mild Chinese medicine flavors and calm, easy presence/feeling in the body. This puerh will continue to age extremely well due to high quality materials and clean and expert processing. It would be an excellent addition to any collection for further aging or for drinking now.

Great Taste, High Energy for Me

Love the flavor of this pu-erh. Sometimes I brew it and the cooling mint flavor dominates, other times it is a deep, dark sweetness. I guess that is what I like about the tea, it has a big and complex flavor.

I do have to say this, in my body the tea is high energy and slightly uncomfortable when I use my normal amount of tea (by eyeball method, not precise). So this is not a daily tea for me because I prefer lower energy/caffeine/whatever tea for daily drinking. When I want amazing flavor, I brew this!
