This particular style of Hong Kong-stored aged raw pu-erh is highly regarded by pu-erh enthusiasts in the region. Although it may appear similar to a ripe pu-erh, its flavor profile is much more complex and its mouthfeel is richer and more nuanced.
After being aged for over 20 years in Master Chan's warehouse in Hong Kong, this tea has developed a smooth and savory taste with a refreshing gan, (a cooling sensation) in the finish. If you are a fan of this style of aged raw pu-erh, this tea is an excellent choice that is both affordable and high-quality.

Use 6 grams of leaves in 6 oz pot or cup. Brew with 212 F degree water (100 C).
RINSE: 3 seconds
1st BREW: 20 seconds
2nd BREW: 20 seconds
3rd BREW: 30 seconds
4th BREW: 30 seconds
5th BREW: 40 seconds
6th BREW: 1 minute
7th BREW: 2 minutes
8th BREW: 5 minutes

A wonderful tea indeed, very clean and smooth tasting for many brews. Excellent quality tea with a relaxing feeling to it. This is the type of aged raw Puerh that ripe Puerh tries to imitate, but rarely is as nice and smooth as this tea. It’s definitely raw Puerh, but has that sought after aged taste done right that’s stored well and clean. The leaves keep a lot of flavor on them for each steep. This one is comforting, mild, soothing, relaxing feeling.

I enjoyed this tea so much last time I had bought it that I decided to buy it a second time. I rarely enjoy a tea so much that I buy it twice because there are so many pu erh teas out there that I want to try. This tea is exactly as I remembered it like an old friend. I drank this tea during a stressful day and it felt like a comfortable warm hug. The reason I like this tea so much is because it’s soothing, relaxing and comfortable. It’s one of the only pu erh teas I can drink at night and not have the caffeine keep me up. I find a nice clear focus on this tea as well. This tea gives me the sensation of climbing into a favorite arm chair and relaxing by a warm fireplace. You can drink this tea anytime, and it tastes very nice as well. Highly recommended!
