Taste characteristics: This eleven-year-old ripe Pu-erh tea is harvested from ancient trees. The infusion is dark orange and is the perfect drink for a lazy afternoon or after a long day of work. The tea is not only very aromatic, it is possessed of a bouquet of complex flavors that is relaxing and satisfying and provides a long-lasting lychee aftertaste. This tea retains its flavors after multiple infusions better than most ripe Pu-erh teas.

I’ve tried a few hundred ripe pu erh teas over the last 10 years and the flavor, aroma, and quality of this tea is unmatched. Without getting into taste and smell descriptions, this tea has a lovely aroma and excellent taste. This is what I’d call a holy grail pu erh that once you experience it, you’ll understand why people love and appreciate ripe pu erh. Definitely one of the best smelling teas I’ve had. I prefer longer steeps on ripe pu erh and this one does very well with long steeps or short steeps.
