Taste characteristics: This tea is a blend of spring leaves harvested from old arbor trees in Menghai and Lincang. As an experienced tea blender, Master Vesper Chan was able to showcase in this tea the unique characteristics of Pu-erhs from these two famous tea regions. The initial taste of this tea is smooth and stable and it is followed with layers of flavors and a cooling finish.
This tea competed at the 2020 International Taste Institute in Brussels and won a three-star Superior Taste Award. This is the first time a Chinese tea won this high honor. Congratulations to Master Chan!
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Use 5g of leaves per 6 ounces of water. Rinse the leaves once with hot water (195 degree F) and discard the water. Start steeping according to the recommended steeping time below. Decant the tea after each steeping.
Cooling tea08/21/2024 BySylvan Schneider An excellent summer time tea. I bought this tea the other year and decided to try it this summer. This is a fine example of a cooling tea. I know the term cooling sounds odd for a hot tea, however this tea has helped me cool down on hot summer days. In Chinese medicine there are warming teas and cooling teas - this one being a fine example of a cooling tea for hot days. It’s a mellow light tea with a touch of refreshing bitterness, overall very mild and refreshing tasting. Medium to mild stimulation from this tea. I’ve had this tea most days this summer before and during work. Helps me to focus, relax, and to cool off. It’s a very good price for a clean refreshing tea. I don’t find it to have big bold flavors or a strong sensation, that’s not what this tea if for in my opinion. This is a subtle tea that has a mellow clean taste with just enough flavor to make it interesting. Our responseThank you so much for the great review.
